How My IANDS Conference Presentation was Enhanced by Mystical Interludes
September 13, 2019Well, it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted on this blog. So much has happened in the last three years!
In December 2019 my beloved Jim was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer.
We spent most of 2020 in and out of the hospital while Covid paralyzed our country. After months of chemotherapy, Jim was declared in remission from cancer, but his body and mind were sorely depleted from the chemicals and radiation. By the end of 2020 he was unable to walk. His memory was all but gone. Eventually he didn’t know who I was. Hospice came next. For the first six months of 2021 the kind Hospice nurse and assistants visited our home to bathe Jim and keep him comfortable. I know what you must be thinking by now, but you would be wrong.
Astonishingly, my story has a happy ending!
After a series of amazing mystical interludes, Jim began recognizing faces again and slowly returned to himself. Today, he is walking, talking, and personally self-sufficient. He enjoys the company of our cat, our family and friends as well as reading, watching movies, and playing cards. Our gratitude is boundless and eternal.
To learn of the above-mentioned mystical interludes, you can either attend one of my speaking events or wait for my next book.
Along with Jim, I have also come back.
Jim and I recently spent time with my publisher, Penelope Love, and her husband, Nick. Both are authors of stories in Mystical Interludes II.
